Chasing Trane features rare family home movies, studio footage, photographs, and television appearances, with Coltrane’s story told by collaborators including Sonny Rollins, McCoy Tyner, Benny Golson, Jimmy Heath, and Reggie Workman, along with artists inspired by his fearless creativity, including Wynton Marsalis, Carlos Santana, Wayne Shorter, and Kamasi Washington.
